Starcraft 2 offline mode Offline#
There are a myraid of reasons why being connected to the online mode is required for synchronization.Say, you are playing in offline mode and your system crashes. Its a great game but I would gladly return it to get my money back. wake up! I wish I could return this game. If they want to beat the pirates(which I think its a game in itself anyway) all they have to do is lower the price to make it more affordable and they will make their money, not have to worry about pirating plus make a profit. No wonder people are going for the pirated versions of games or going more to console. I payed $60 for this and don’t even own the game.
Meaning you have to log on their server to play Single player. But, they store the client in Volatile memory. Even before the patches I couldn’t not play single player unless I logged onto their servers at least once. Playing multi player is out of the question. Personally I don’t care about achievements.E.T.C I just want to be able to play the game without being online. Furthermore, offline mode cannot be synchronized with your account. That is, your offline Campaign progression will not grant you any achievements. Your local saves will not be uploaded to. You can resume your Campaign anytime, from any computer provided that missions have been completed in online mode. If you play the online mode (that is, login to your account in StarCraft II) your Campaign progress, achievements and stats will be both stored and available on our servers. I’ll try to shed light on the StarCraft II online mode. And even if you go online afterwards, Starcraft 2 won’t synchronize your progress and achievements to the server, which makes playing offline less enticing to use for the perfectionists. Playing in offline mode does quite the opposite, no saving of game progress on server and no saving of achievements.

Krinskal, a Blizzard Blue poster, said that being online while playing single player campaign will save your progress and achievements on the server so that anywhere you go you will be able to continue your mission even if you don’t have your pc or laptop with you.
